We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Sensei Patrick Herbert, a student of Master Murakami, on 19 March 2024. He was 5th Dan in Shotokai Karate Do and Technical Director of the Karate Do Shotokai Europe (KDSE) association.
I was lucky enough to follow his teaching at the MJC Mercoeur and I remember him as a passionate, precise and talented man. He devoted his life to the martial arts and helped to develop the Shotokai style. We offer his family, friends, teachers and students our most sincere condolences.
